My perfect mid-day snack in the office would be a cup of coffee and a fluffy baked goodie of some sort. And Specialty's Bakery & Cafe is great for both!
I tried their mini orange poppy seed bundt cake and was quite pleased. Fluffy poppy seed cake with a sweet, slightly tangy orange-flavored glaze on top. Wonderfully delish with my latte!

By the way, I had a banana-caramel crepe from the mall today. OMG!!! It was soooo good. Thanks for letting us know about it :)
Omg we have to go to Tartine in the Castro sometime - it's worth the muni trip out there. It's not anywhere close to my work but it's a cafe that's great for a midday snack or like brunch on a wknd.
Oh yea - it's a bakery type thing w/ the BEST bread pudding ever!
PS. Citizen Cake bread pudding is overrated and not amazing.
Haha I think if Citizen Cake didn't have those cute cupcakes, I'd never go there.
