Epic, Part Deux

My friends were salivating over my previous substantive post about Epic Roasthouse, so I went for a second time with them since I'm such a good, accommodating friend. Ok ok, I also really wanted to go back to try their pork belly.

Wild Mushroom Risotto with Crispy Pork Belly and Balsamic Pork Reduction ($25)

I was much happier with this than I was with their Wood Oven Roasted Rib Eye for two that I ordered last time. The pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth perfection with a slightly crispy outer layer, and went well with the rich and creamy mushroom risotto. I also liked how the risotto was not as overpowering as some of the others I've had.

New York Strip (20 oz) with Coriander, Black Peppercorns, and Coffee Beans ($46)
